This book provides an overview of the contemporary performance and potential of dispute resolution for consumer disputes and aims to identify legal challenges to make dispute resolution system more effective for consumer disputes in the emerging economies. in this context the law should meet the ments of vulnerable parties, who do not have equal negotiating power, to provide an easily accessible and cost-effective dispute resolution system. The fundamental focus of this book is to identify the challenges of the current some of emerging countries' consumer redress system that hinders access to justice and creates delays.
This book, therefore, substantiates to enable emerging countries to benefit from the long-standing experience of the European Union in this area, to identify the legal amendments needed in developing countries to establish and expedite the growth of resolution of consumer disputes, which may help in solving problems and offering more secured solutions, thus building consumer confidence and trust.
This book seeks to draw a general picture of the enforcement of consumer law and the effectiveness of regulatory regimes of consumer protection in Georgia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan.
